This week was absolutely nuts! I don't think any of you could even understand. To start I want to say sorry to those that I can't email back but I don't have much time. Now lets start with Halloween, Halloween is not too big here but for the Mormons it is. In our church there was a massive dance party. They played all types of American music, like Kid Cudi and Kanye West and all other kinds. It was really nice to listen to it actually! But I repented so I'm good now haha.
On Halloween and the last couple days the rain and storms here have been out of this freaking world. Lightning, hail, I mean big hail. It is awesome to experience and also a lot of roads turning to rivers (head and the Heart) for my peeps who know LOL. But Saturday started the festivities for the day of the dead and lets just say Peruvians get crazy. Ayacucho is known for drinking the most alcohol here in Peru (haha) so people were drunk lighting off fireworks and just partying all night long. They also have this bread here that is only in Ayacucho and is only for these two days it is Pan Wawa. It is seriously the best thing I have tasted. They also have pan chapla, which is only here also, but that stuff is year round and of the Gods. Dana, you know how much I love my bread. Then Sunday I have never before seen so many people in a cemetery. It broke my heart because they were all so sad and I just wanted to share the plan of salvation with them.
But this week with our investigators was a little rough. Only one person came to church and she is definitely the strongest of them.We got another girl to committed to baptism, her name is Magceli, She is only 14, and me and my companion try to focus on families. Speaking of families the women here don't care where they are at or what they are doing they will whip their boob out at all times to feed there children. It has happened like ten times in lessons and it is hard to keep a straight face.
Peru is awesome and I have had so many great experiences, especially with this language. It is coming along really well and I'm learning every single day! This work is amazing, I have learned so much about the gospel and so much about myself and I'm just loving it here. Ayacucho is my home away from home. There are mountains, the weather is basically the same and guess what I saw? I saw snow in the mountains afar and it warmed my heart like you will never believe.
This work is really hard but every single second has been worth it. When you see that first person you teach really feel the spirit and know for a fact that this church is true and that they can live with their family forever. I hope everyone prays every night in gratitude for the knowledge we have and all that we have. That's all for this week folks!!!
For Halloween
Who are you supposed to be? the new kid on the block?
For Christmas
You GO GLEN COCO!!
PS: Me and my comp listen to christmas music every single day and it is the greatest thing that has happened to the world.
