10/27/2014

Hey Momma and Dad,

Mail wise, I have received nothing, but mail comes tomorrow so cross your fingers.

This week has flown by. To be honest spanish still sucks lol, but I'm speaking a lot more in the lessons and  I'm contacting like a beast. The food here has been great and I have had no issues with it at all, other than the fish that was sketchyyyy! I'm loving it, my companion is a G.

It was Edgar's birthday this week a less active and his parents have baptismal dates with us for the 29th of November so that was dope. Pictures are hard to send because it takes forever to load. This last week we went to Huanta and it was way sweet the view was unreal and crazy cool. I'm just pushing along here, gathering up all those people who believe in la apostasia and trying to bring them to the truth.

This week it rained. This is the only area that it rains in my mission. The streets were rivers, massive rivers, and my shoes are soaked constantly, but it is so awesome to see. The people here are marvelous and they are truly changing my life. I have never met so many humble, hard working, and caring individuals in my life. This week is the day of the dead/ halloween so I'll keep you posted on how crazy the parties are.

One crazy story this week: I obtained a jehovah witness bible from a family and also they had a gathering in the park. Me and my companion went and taught a bunch of people listening to the jehovah witnesses homie. It was an awesome experience. Life out here is a little hard but I'm making the best of it everyday just like my parents taught me.

I hope the family is doing well and that everyone is killling it. Im happy to hear about kade and his success and the football squad. I've been so blessed to be able to serve here. Know I'm praying for you guys always.

Spiritual experience: I've been a bit sick this week and I didn't know how I was going to be able to go out and teach. But I prayed for strength popped some excedrin and went out and the first family I saw on the street I went to and shared a little message and now we have an appointment with them today. And ever since that point I didn't feel sick at all and I could feel God liftin me up just enough so I could get through it. Read D&C 84:88! I love you all so much

Elder Adams

Note from Dana: I was able to chat with Court for minute and I asked him if he is even able to communicate with his companion since he does not speak any English and this was his reply:

"My companion does not speak english! and that language (Quechua) is freaking impossible. I know how to say "how are you" and how to say "I dont speak quecheu" hahaha."

He also said:

"No, me and him still have convos it is just a little harder, thats all. And I have gringos in my zone. Guess what they call me here. Gringonito.. or the beautiful white boy.  lolololol."
